Local and Overseas Competitions

NYDP student-athletes will have opportunities to compete at regional and world 3x3 and 5v5 age-group competitions, such as:

MAJOR GAMES AND COMPETITIONS
Student-athletes have the opportunities to compete in Major Games, ASEAN Youth Games and Youth Olympic Games.

U18 SOUTHEAST ASIA BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION BASKETBALL QUALIFIER (SEABA) - 5V5 BOYS (MEN’S YOUTH)
A sub-zone qualifier among SEABA national U18 teams. It’s the Southeast Asia gateway into the continental U18 event - FIBA U18 Asia Cup.

FIBA U18 WOMEN’S ASIA CUP – SEABA QUALIFIERS - 5V5 GIRL’S (WOMEN’S YOUTH)
A sub-zone qualifier for among SEABA national U18 girls teams. It’s the Southeast Asia gateway into the continental U18 girls event - FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup.

FIBA U18 ASIA CUP - 5V5 BOYS
The continental finals for U18 in the Asia (and Oceania) region. Teams that qualify via sub-zone routes (including SEABA). Semi-finalists qualify for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup.

FIBA U18 WOMEN’S ASIA CUP - 5V5 GIRLS
The continental U18 women’s championship, run with Division A and Division B. Asia’s U18 Women’s Asia Cup semi-finalists in Division A qualified for the FIBA U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup.

U17 SEABA 3X3 BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP - 3X3, U17 BOYS AND GIRLS (REGIONAL)
A regional SEABA youth 3x3 event aimed at preparing SEABA teams for higher 3x3 pathways, benchmarking and developing youth 3x3 in Southeast Asia.


For development, NYDP student-athletes can look forward to taking part in regional age-group developmental leagues, competitions overseas training trips. More details will be shared at a later time.

Special Programmes

Individual Attachment Programme (applicable to SSP NYDP Student-Athletes only)
Identified SSP NYDP student-athletes will train with overseas youth academy . These SSP student-athletes will be attached to the club on a yearly basis to learn and train with their junior teams. More details will be shared at a later time.
