2 In Top 10% Of RP Graduates

Nurhaishireen Mohd Rahim, Claudia Emilia Receive Diploma With Merit

Nurhaishireen Mohd Rahim from the Track and Field Academy and Claudia Emilia D'Silva from the Netball Academy, both from Singapore Sports School’s Graduating Class of 2009, have done exceptionally well amongst their peers and graduated in the top 10 per cent of their cohort at Republic Polytechnic.

Both girls received a Diploma with Merit in their respective diploma courses during the Republic Polytechnic Graduation Ceremony held over three days in May 2013. Nurhaishireen was also presented with the Sports Captain of the Year (Female) Award for her outstanding performance in her Co-Curricular Activities. 

Nurhaishireen was inducted into the 2012 Academic Roll of Honour for completing the year within the top 5 per cent of the cohort with a GPA of 3.61. During the year, she was also Captain of the Year for Track and Field and received a Meritorious Silver in Sports award for Track and Field, and Hockey.

On 29 May 2013, Nurhaishireen graduated with a Diploma in Biomedical Science (with Merit) and she has since been accepted into Nanyang Technological University to pursue the Degree in Biological Science. Until she starts her university programme, she is working at Republic Polytechnic and continues to train in her sport.

Claudia, too, was inducted into the 2012 Academic Roll of Honour for completing the year within the top 5 per cent of the cohort, She scored a GPA of 3.60. During the year, she was Captain of the Year for Netball.

On 28 May 2013, she received a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science (with Merit). She is looking for a place in university. In the meantime, she is working in an event management company.
