Assembly programmes are planned to nurture Learned Champions With Character, and to inculcate the Champion’s Mindset in Singapore Sports School student-athletes.
Lessons From The Champions
The Lessons From The Champions series was created to inspire and motivate student-athletes towards fulfilling their sporting dreams. Sport champions and sport personalities are invited to share their stories of overcoming challenges to achieve their goals and provide practical tips on how to become a champion.
Student-athletes have had opportunities to learn from and interact with champions like figure skater and five-time World Champion Michelle Kwan, football legends Pele and Eric Cantona, sprinter and Singapore great Canagasabai Kunalan and former swimming world champion Mark Foster. Sailor Dr Benedict Tan and triathlete Dr Mok Ying Ren, two examples of successful student-athletes, shared pointers on how to succeed in sport while managing studies.
