Singapore Sports School's academic achievements and sports successes are not accidental - our seven-year-old school has carefully nurtured the balance of sports and studies for such intended results our professional capabilities and capacities have grown and deepened since our inception in 2004 and we have honed our ability to design and deliver a comprehensive and coherent programme with a high degree of flexibility and customisation, when and where required.

With our offer of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the customised Republic Polytechnic-Singapore Sports School Diploma in Sports and Leisure Management as post-secondary pathways, there has been an increasing interest expressed by parents to enrol their children in our School as they are assured of continuity of quality provisions and services for both sports and education within Singapore Sports School.

The confidence in our School's programmes has also increased with knowledge that as many as 95 per cent of our graduates have progressed into Junior Colleges, Pre-Universities or Polytechnics. A significant number of the first two batches of graduates (2006 and 2007) are now in their first year of or have confirmed places in our local universities and some in overseas universities, reading degree courses ranging from Accountancy to Advanced Mathematics, Architecture, Business, Computer Studies, Engineering, Law, Marine Biology and Sports Management and Sports Science.

Two of our graduates from as many cohorts are recipients of The Lee Kuan Yew Award for Mathametics and Science - National Sailor Sean Lee in 2011 and National Youth paddler Tan Hui Min in 2010 - and both have been offered scholarships for their university studies.

Clearly, our rigorous academic programme integrated with its sports development programme and a foundation of good habits learnt while at SingaporeSports

School have served our student-athletes and graduates well.
