Venue : Ministry of Education, CCA Branch Multi-Purpose Hall, 21 Evans RoadInvited participants will have to attend the Final Trial on: Date : 27 July 2010 (Tuesday) Time : 3:00pm to 6:00pm Venue : Ministry of Education, CCA Branch, Multi-Purpose Hall, 21 Evan Road After participation in both the training sessions and the final selection trial, candidates will be short-listed based on the following criteria: Demonstrated possession of or potential for improvement in the following areas: 1) Physical/Physique including speed, agility, balance, coordination, height/reach 2) Technical skills including ball skills, footwork and landing techniques, attacking and defending skills 3) Court play including spatial awareness, decision-making ability, anticipation and ability to read the play 4) Meet the academic entrance criteria for Sports School Other Skills:  Demonstrated ability to contribute to the appropriate balance across various specialist playing positions Demonstrated ability to work with coaching staff, officials and other players Demonstrated positive attitude and commitment Absence of any injury or illness which may or has the potential to impair, inhibit or prevent the athlete from performing at the required level Shortlisted candidates will then be called up for musculoskeletal screening, a medical screening and finally an interview with the management. All Primary 6 students (born in 1998) are invited to apply for a place in the Soccer Academy of the Singapore Sports School.
Priority will be given to applicants who have competitive experience in representing their schools or who have the talent or physical attributes to succeed in the sport. The coaching panel will be looking out for students who can exhibit the following attributes of the game:-
1. Technical Abilities (ability to execute simple football skills, passing, dribbling, shielding, shooting, etc)
2. Tactical Knowledge/Understanding and decision making (game intelligence, anticipation and creative thinking)
3. Personality (self-confident, motivation, anxiety control, concentration and attitude)
4. Physiological make-up (anaerobic fitness, aerobic fitness, power, agility and flexibility)

Applicants must be proficient in all 4 strokes, with experience in having represented clubs and/or schools in swimming competitions.
Priority will be given to applicants with competitive experience at meets such as the National Junior Age-Group Meet or the National Inter-Primary School Championships.

We will schdeule our selection trials in the following manner:
We will be organising SSP Junior Invitational Bowling Challenge. There will be a series of 3 such competitions open to all primary pupils. Bowlers who are interested can refer to the published dates.
Shortlisted applicants from each Challenge will be invited to undergo further stringent tests and interviews by the General Manager and coaches of the Bowling Academy. Shortlisted applicants can expect attachments to the Bowling Academy training sessions, which includes strength and conditioning sessions. Parents will be interviewed as well.

The final Top 25 applicants will then be called up for musculoskeletal and medical sreening, and an interview with the management.
